Intro: Many of you have heard of the holocaust, the crusades, and terrorism groups like Al Qaeda. What do all of these historic periods have in common?

Strong beginning, but needs more development and analysis for the arguments. You have all the basic components of a constructive speech.

Needs an introduction and a definition of values. Regarding your arguments: the US constitution does not guarantee the right to smoke. There are, on the other hand, perfectly legitimate laws about what it is legal to eat. Second, how much of the 35 billion dollar income goes to US taxes? This is a strong argument and could have been developed to show the significant economic harms for the federal, state and local government, and also on tobacco farmers. Regarding your third argument you claim that tobacco rehab is prohibitively expensive. What about the medical costs of supporting smokers who are sick because of smoking? This argument should have been anticipated and dealt with.

Very strong. The only thing preventing it from being excellent is the lack of a defining moment of when a developing baby becomes "human". You need to show a biological, ethical boundary point, prior to which the embryo is not considered human and therefore an abortion does not equal murder.

Intro: Pat is an A+ student. As a senior, she carries with herself a record of only As ever since the beginning of high school and has an overall GPA of 4.0. Joe Bob, on the other hand, has never received an A even once ever since he initiated high school. With a grade point average of 1.2, he is considered a D student. On September 12th, both of them took the SAT test. However, Patt, the A student, gets a 1500 out of 2400 in the test, while Joe Bob, the D student, on the other hand, gets a perfect score- 2400 out of 2400. How can a D student do better than an A student in a standardized test?

Outstanding work. This format can be used in any class, and what you have here is a perfect example of how to use it.

Your second and third arguments could be developed a bit more and strengthened with evidence. Otherwise an outstanding constructive.
